"Holiday Season"
The holiday season reminds me of all the good in my life and the world.  It truly is the time for all of us to count our blessings.  Dearest to me is my beautiful wife and four children.  Followed by the extended family, which includes all the families I have been blessed to care for over the years.  It is also the time of year for reflection.  Each year I ask myself what would the year have been like if my health or a loved ones health failed.

When I play that tape in my head suddenly little else matters.  How would have your year changed?  Most everyone takes health for granted.  Occasionally your innate intelligence struggles to adapt to the environment and our health briefly is compromised.  This brief glimpse of how life would be like without health unfortunately does not sustain our concern for very long.  Our motivation to recover most always dwarfs our motivation to maintain health.

We are a highly evolved species who sadly seem more concerned with life’s frivolous and inane practicalities.  If I had a nickel for every time someone said to me “I just don’t have time” to care for myself, I would almost have my student loans paid off.  Health is the fundament to all our experiences here on earth.  Health allows us to pursue our interests and ambitions.  Health provides me the opportunity to serve chiropractic, to love and play.  This holiday season let us all remind ourselves.
